E05: Dave Buehring w/ Jeremy Camp and Loren Cunningham

Dave_Buehring_2Thirty-five years ago, Dave Buehring had the opportunity of being discipled by Loren Cunningham, the founder of YWAM, in Kona, Hawaii. It changed his life forever. Now he pours into kingdom shakers like Jeremy Camp.

Although Dave’s mother was a 4:30-in-the-morning-intercessory-prayer woman and his father made a bold move by leaving the business world in the middle of his career to go into ministry, his experience with Loren showed him what disciple-making outside of the home can look like. Dave said his time with Loren wrecked him (in a good way). Since he spent time with Loren, he’s never been the same, pouring his life into others just like Loren did for him all those years ago.

Here’s Dave on what discipleship looked like in his life from a young age:

  1. So very relevant to what Dave speaks on here concerning generations. Unaware I think Dave was such a impression upon my own walk with Christ. When I met Dave Buering I was a totally wrecked soul searching for respite, lost so very lost, through Dave’s small group teachings I reconnected to God. Today I am involved in several young people’s life, who are looking for direction and purpose, I have the privilege of mrntoring these young men, I try to model the way Dave mentored to me to these young men. The awesome thing about this is I think Dave has no clue how instrumental he was in growing me into a disciple of Christ warranting the ability to mentor young men. He made such an impression of Christ love to me.
